North to South Island Taster Itinerary for 2 Adults to include GPS Sat Navigation preloaded with your route.

We can amend or add additional days, change accommodations to better suit your requirements or budget, this itinerary is a suggested itinerary for Self Drive Hire allowing you to experience the North Island followed by the South Island or can be done vice versa

Day 1 - Auckland - Arrive Auckland INT Airport - Meet & Greet hand our Welcome Pack with Transfer to your Accommodation  

Day 1 - Auckland - Central Apartment Hotel for 2 Nights with 1 Bedroom Apartment, Living Room, Kitchen-Dining, Bathroom to inc Breakfast

Day 2 - Auckland - Rental Car Delivery at 10.00am to your Hotel - Holden Trax Auto - Day to Explore Auckland 

Day 3 - Auckland - Drive to the Coromandel Peninsula

Day 3 - Whitianga - Bed & Breakfast for 2 Nights with King Double Room ocean views with En-suite to include evening drink & Breakfast

Day 4 - Whitianga - Morning half day Cruise along the Volcanic Coast, into Caves and snorkelling with Snapper and visit Cathedral Cove, afternoon drive the. 309 Road to visit a natural Water hole, Our Giant Kauri Trees and a Waterfall

Day 5 - Whitianga - Drive to Rotorua, via Matamata and Hobbiton Farm and Movie set you will enjoy a tour followed by a Marquee lunch in typical Hobbit Fashion - Onwards to Rotorua.

Day 5 - Rotorua - Deluxe Motel for 2 Nights with Executive 1 Bedroom Suite with Living, Kitchen/Dining Bathroom and hot pool to include Breakfast 

Day 6 - Rotorua - Full-Day Private Maori Guided Tour with our Maori Elder: Karen, a day to explore the region to include a cruise on beautiful Lake Tarawera and to hear stories of Maori and the Tarawera Volcanic eruption, visit the Buried village to have Lunch and later onwards to the Living Village where you will enjoy a Cultural show and visit to the Marae.

Day 7 - Rotorua - Drop the rental car at Rotorua Airport - Flight to Queenstown with Air New Zealand - Internal flights are not included in the Quote of this itinerary until we have your travel dates.

Day 7 - Queenstown - Arrival at Queenstown Airport, Collect your Rental Car and drive the short distance to your Accommodation.

Day 7 - Queenstown, Bed & Breakfast for 3 Nights with King Double, En-suite with Garden Views of Cardona Peak to include Evening Drink & Breakfast

Day 8 - Queenstown - This morning after an early breakfast you will drive to Glenorchy, this is the 2nd Most Scenic Drive in NZ taking 1 Hour

Day 8 - Glenorchy - Ful day Dart River Funyaks Jetboat up into Mt Aspiring National Park, then Canoes for river experience, Lunch and paddle up a gorge with azure blue clear waters and Waterfall, after you travel down to a coach pick up point for the return to Glenorchy

Day 9 - Queenstown - This morning you will join a full-day coach tour to Milford Sound, with specially adapted coaches with seats that are angled towards the windows and glass roof truly allows you to see the magic is New Zealand's most scenic drive from Te Anua where you will have a morning stop to Milford Sound. You will enjoy a cruise on Milford Sound  with Lunch and after return to Queenstown (There are options to have a Fixed Wing Flight from Milford to Queenstown) Enquire for additional rates 

Day 10 - Queenstown - This morning after an early breakfast you will depart for Franz Josef, travelling via the scenic Crown Range Road via the Cardona Hotel the oldest pub in New Zealand, next via Wanaka, before up the stunning West Coast where we will provide details of the must-see places to stop, you will sure need your phone or camera to capture the magic. You will travel via Fox into Franz Josef

Day 10 - Franz Josef Glacier - Bed & Breakfast Lodge for 1 Night with King Double Suite with En-suite to include Breakfast

Day 10 - Franz Josef Glacier - Late afternoon visit to the Glacier Hot Pools for a Private pool for 2 set in the Rain forest, Followed by Terrace Walk to see Glowworms

Day 11 - Franz Josef Glacier - Drive north to Greymouth Station where you will drop your Rental Car and board Tranz Alpine Scenic Train to Christchurch

Day 11 - Christchurch - Meet & Greet by our Company Representative with Transfer to your Accommodation

Day 11 - Christchurch - Boutique Bed & Breakfast for 2 Nights with King Double Room with En-suite to include Evening Drink and Breakfast

Day 12 - Christchurch - Day to explore Christchurch our Garden City

Day 13 - Christchurch - Collect Rental Car from City Depot 10.00am with a drive to Kaikoura for 1 Night

Day  13 - Kaikoura - Coastal Retreat self-contained Accommodation with stunning ocean views 

Day 13 - Kaikoura - Afternoon Whale Watch Cruise 

Day 14 - Kaikoura  - Drive north to Blenheim Airport, depending on your flight departure to Auckland or Christchurch for your International Departure you may have time for a Winery Lunch. You will drop your Car Rental at Blenheim Airport.
